IMPORTANT NEWS:
As an extra layer of precaution, the district medical director, Dr. Marino, has advised us that ALL STUDENTS, STAFF, AND PARENT CHAPERONES MUST get tested for Covid-19 72 hours prior to and during our camp, whether vaccinated or not. For your convenience, the district has set up times where you can get tested on Friday, August 13th from 9am-1pm at Roslyn High School.

Band camp is coming up!

Every student MUST have certain items packed for our trip. 

The following mandatory items will be checked before boarding the bus to camp:

  • Vaccination card for students must be uploaded to google classroom under the ‘classwork section’ no later than August 2nd (14 days before departure).

  • Documentation of a negative PCR COVID-19 test 3 days before departure (FOR ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF)

  • 1 inch hard cover 3 ring binder- labeled with name

  •  30 plastic sheet protectors

  • Large Water Bottle, 1 quart or larger, labeled with name

  • Baseball Cap, hat or bandana, required for all rehearsals in full sun

  • Sunblock and/or Sunscreen

  • Sneakers (low cut with laces)

  • Masks (disposable OR reusable, but enough for a whole week). You MUST wear a mask on the bus. 

  • Individual bottles of hand sanitizer

  • For woodwinds, brass, battery and pit only: In addition to the above items, please bring:

    • foldable/collapsible music stand (can purchase at any music store or online). You should already have from mini-camp if you participated. 

    • instrument playing mask and cover (woodwinds and brass only). You should already have this item. 

  • For colorguard only: In addition to the above items, please bring:

    • roll of black electrical tape

    • roll of white electrical tape 

    • highlighter

    • 2 mechanical pencils

    • fanny pack (example)

    • small spiral notebook (example)

    • tight fitting athletic clothes (tank tops, NON DENIM shorts, leggings)

    • practice flag
